  • Smart growth and zoning enforcement to preserve our quality of life

  • Support for local businesses to strengthen our economy

  • Community engagement so that every resident’s voice is heard

Greg Sheehan, Chair of the Clarkstown Democratic Committee and Candidate for Ward 2, said, “I am proud not only to lead a committee that has put forth a strong slate of candidates, but to run alongside a team united by the shared goal of putting the people of Clarkstown first. When I knock on doors and talk with neighbors, I hear the same thing – the people in office are too comfortable and they no longer reflect the needs of the people they represent.

“We believe Clarkstown deserves a government that is transparent, accountable, and truly engaged with its residents. A government that encourages civic participation, not just when election day is near, but year-round involvement in decision making, respecting public comments as much as those private sessions that now determine town policy before it's even on the town meeting agenda.

“As elected officials, we are only temporary stewards of this community. We must treat every day in office as an opportunity to serve with humility and purpose. I speak for myself and for my entire slate when I say this: we will never take the trust of Clarkstown’s residents for granted. Our presence will be felt not just during campaigns, but every single day – because we are here for the people we represent.”
