Susan Bloom
Candidate for Ward 3 Council
Susan Bloom has made Rockland County her home for over three decades, where she lives with her husband, Jeff, and has raised their daughter, Jenna.
A native of Queens, NY, Susan financed her education at Queens College while simultaneously embarking on her career in law enforcement at the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services. After graduating from college, she joined the NYS Organized Crime Task Force, where her dedication and skill quickly earned her a promotion to Special Investigator. While working there, Susan pursued her legal education, earning a Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law.
Subsequently, Susan served as an Assistant District Attorney, first in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office and then in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. Throughout her career, she was actively involved in combating organized crime across New York State, including the Bronx and Westchester County. Later, her professional focus shifted to advocating for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, ensuring that defendants were brought to justice. Susan concluded her distinguished law enforcement career with the NYS Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, where she worked to prosecute providers who defrauded the Medicaid system.
